We’ve overhauled Made By Mums shop fronts, updating the display with a brand new layout and extra information to help our shops sparkle!

For customers, it’s a fresh new way to know a little more about the person behind their purchase 🙂

We know change can be tough (good and bad!), especially when you’re used to ‘the way things are’. So, whether you buy or sell via Made By Mums (or indeed both!), I hope that you can bare with us with this, no doubt one of our biggest visual updates in quite a while.

We felt this change could add real value for our makers, all while improving the visit experience for our shoppers. So, our updated look is a simple, clean and streamlined interface that we hope you’ll find easy to browse.

So, what’s new with our new shop home pages?

Customise your shop front

To complement all those lovely shop logos out there, we’ve added the choice to include a background banner picture. Add a photo of your favourite make, or whatever takes your fancy. Add some personality to your profile!

Or, perhaps you’d prefer to stick with the starry background we’ve added as a default? The choice, as they say, is yours! 🙂

To add a banner, you’ll find the option right next to where you change your shop logo in your Sellers Dashboard settings.

All your reviews, now in one place

We know reviews are a great way to help customers make their purchasing decisions, and they’ve been a feature of our product listing pages for some time.

This shop update brings all a sellers reviews right to their shop front, all in one convenient place. Yes, when you receive a glowing review, we want to do all we can to help share it with the world!

Once you receive your first review, a new ‘Reviews’ tab will be added to the shop, right next to your products.

A story waiting to be told…

Have you participated in our Maker Stories series as yet? If you have, you’ll find your shop now has a shiny new ‘Stories’ tab which links straight to it!

Our makers are the stars of Made By Mums, and sharing their stories and motivations is really important to us. Perhaps you’ve already spotted where we’re going with this… one day we hope to enable makers to write their own blogs and post them right to their shops!

This tab is the first step towards this, and where they’ll live when they finally surface. We’re really excited about this possibility so watch this space for updates.

Furthering transparency

Transparency and trust are cornerstones of our platform, and we want our shoppers to feel confident when making purchases across the 200+ shops we have.

They now have even greater clarity on their maker with our latest shop home refresh. We show key details such as seller rating, number of sales and reviews right at a glance, without the need to scroll and find this key information.

Equally, we hope this works for our sellers too. When you make sales and earn reviews for your efforts, it’ll be right there in black and white (…and a little purple!) on your shop home, for all the world to see. Go you!
