The weather this week has certainly been a bit all over the place with both lovely hot days making us dream of ice creams, beaches and BBQs, following days I’ve found myself hunting through my jumpers and cowls…

With that in mind, let’s get started with some new baby blankets!

It’s the end of what would have been the school Easter Holidays for many children and parents, but please don’t add any extra stress to your and their days with worrying too much about school work.

These are not normal times, and I’m sure that teaching them to plan meals, do chores, and letting them be bored and then find ways to entertain themselves through being creative will make everyone happier in the long run. I know that you want the best for them, and this period of readjustment again is painful and scary for us all. There’s nothing wrong with cuddling up on the couch and watching wildlife programs, going on virtual tours of zoos and museums together and just chatting about it before embarking on an art project to draw everything that they’ve seen. They will be learning… as will be demonstrated when they wander into your room at 3am and ask you why the elephants in one zoo had much smaller ears than the ones from a herd from somewhere else!
