Hi, my name is Jane. I’m the creator over at Nutty Knots.
I started Nutty Knots by beginning to learn the art of macramé as a hobby which just kept growing.
Making Macramé Magic

After finally getting the basic knots down so I could work without constant reference it was time to make proper items instead of teaching pieces. I made a few pieces as gifts for family and friends who then starting asking me to sell items, hence Nutty Knots was born.
Now I try and look for new ways in which macramé can be used, I particularly enjoy making functional items.
In case you’re wondering the name ‘Nutty Knots’ is a combination of an online game character ‘Nutmuffin’, my love of eating nuts! And not forgetting a little reference to the art of macramé being a combination of decorative knots.
Away From Crafting…

Apart from my crafting, I enjoy music and have a varied style but at present my regular go to is modern country, namely Brett Young! My other passion is photography and getting out into nature. I try get out for hikes in the Derbyshire countryside at least once or twice a month. My aim is to photos of the wildlife (if they sit still long enough), plants and other natural beauty around the area.
I have a cat called ‘Muffin’ who loves to work with me, although I’m sure she thinks she’s more constructive to my work than I do lol.
I also rescued a Staffordshire bull terrier dog called Karma who I love taking for a walk, either along the canal down the road or around local parks and landmarks. Although there were a few teething problems at the beginning she is now such a happy and loving dog.

I would strongly recommend rescuing an animal I think they instinctively know when you want to give them a loving home.
An Online Escape
All this as well as my full time job as an early year’s educator leaves me little ‘lazy time’ but my other hobby is playing online games. Mainly love World of Warcraft, you’ll always find me on my hunter character saving the world!
That’s just a little about me, hopefully I haven’t bored you too much and I hope I hear from you all soon.
