Hello you lovely lot, this week it’s my turn!
I thought I would introduce myself as the #facebehindthespace at Stand Tall Be More You.
I am Jemma, recently turned 30 and I am based in Derby after relocating from Wales 6 years ago to follow my husband’s career.
Change of Course

Our lives took another change of course when we became parents. I made the life changing decision to give up work, something that had been part of my life since I was 16, and to be a full time mother.
I missed contributing financially, I missed having something that was for me. In December 2016, in between the added madness of planning our wedding, raising a baby and growing another baby, I decided to take a leap of faith and created @brickingit.
It was everything that I needed at the time, it taught me and has given me so much. But after my mental health took a turn for the very worst following the arrival of our second daughter, I lost heart in it.
Sharing my journey

I wanted to put in more of me, more of what made me happy, and hopefully make others happy. So I decided to create Stand Tall Be More You to share my journey and some happy motivational vibes, to spread body positivity, and share this love using my creations.
In my shop you will find various inspirational handmade gifts, from signs and frames, hoodies and t-shirts, jewellery and tote bags, fridge magnets and keyrings. There’s something for everyone so we all can have some sunshine in every day.

We’ve recently added a reusable Christmas gift sack that can be personalised, but that is not the only new thing that is in the works. We have something very exciting that is due next year which we’re sure that you’ll love. Watch this space!
In the meantime……something that I always keep in mind….
Never alone
I am a wife, I am a Mother, a daughter, a big sister. I am still just me, I am still only human. Anxiety and depression can not always be seen from the outside. Some days I feel like I could take on the world, somedays I feel broken and getting out of bed is too much effort – but that’s ok, because sometimes its ok not to be ok! Sometimes its ok to be just OK too.
I just want you to know you are never alone x
