All components are knitted flat and stitched together at the end. The only knitting techniques needed are the basic knit and purl stitches. Each animal follows the same fundamental body pattern. The crochet hook is used for creating chains and does not need to be exactly 3mm. DPNs are great for creating i-cord tails, but you can also make i-cord using two straight needles. Instructions for making i-cord are included in the pattern.
