I have made shiny things out of metal for a number of years but now being a Mum of two smalls means I need to balance my time carefully. So being a full-time parent and a 'part-time' metalsmith I now focus my work mainly on creating keepsakes and gifts made from pewter, which is stamped with brightly coloured positive and encouraging messages. I do also enjoy working in sterling silver, creating bright and shiny jewellery. I use cold enamel to add flourishes of colour. Colour is one of my most favourite things and I try to incorporate it into all of my makes. As my daughter has an unusual name and I can never buy 'off-the-peg' personalised gifts, many of my gifts also include a personalisation option for free. It's important to me that my work is affordable and as accessible as possible. I hope my work makes people as happy looking at it as I am when I am making it.
