Well, what a drastic change in the weather we’ve had this week! Today has definitely been a day for baking and crafting. We’ve watched some brave souls walk past our house to enjoy the brisk autumn air and no doubt collect some chestnuts along the way. I’ve not had to light the fire just yet, but I do have a strawberry scented wax melt on the go.

Speaking of which, my first pick this week is these delectably sparkly rosewood and velvet wax melts from new seller The White Heather Co. For £4 you get a pack of six hearts that are packaged in either biodegradable or recyclable materials.

Next up is a delightful little sea glass bird heart hangie from Handmade by Helen. This makes me think of warmer days walking along the beach looking for sea glass treasure! These two little love birds on a wooden heart can be winging their way to you for £5 and would make a lovely gift for your special someone 😊

If you’re looking for a larger piece of hanging wall art, how about this original stretched canvas fairy painting? Available straight from the brush of the very talented Dream Come Drew, this would make a lovely gift to decorate any fairy fan’s room, and is ready to dispatch. £35.

Being as we’re now in October, Halloween is approaching with all its spookiness, so you may be tempted by this splendid Halloween mandala crafted by The Lilac Ladybird. Well, we can never have too many (right?!), and I’m sure that I’m not the only one that loves having lots of different ones for different projects. As well as Halloween approaching, so is my favourite sparkly season. Yippee! This week our creative crafters have been very busy adding lots of fabulous festive treats to their shops. This adorable hand sewn felt robin from Chatterbox Decor is just £5. Not surprisingly, one has already been snapped up and on its way to decorate somebody’s home this Christmas, but there’s still more left in her shop for yours too!

If you’re looking for a special decoration to mark this unprecedented year, Wiggles Bear has these cute circular hanging decorations that have either a cheeky Santa or Rudolph and ‘Christmas 2020 Year of the Lockdown’ engraved in their oak veneer. Finished with a glitter top coat, they are priced at £6.50 and made to order in 2-3 weeks.

As well as decorations there is a large selection of handmade cards to choose from various Made By Mums shops. As well as single cards, you can find packs of cards with festive greetings to send out to friends and family. AnnMade has added several packs to her shop this week, including this set of five ‘Merry Little Christmas’ cards for £6.75. The recommended last posting dates for Christmas may be a bit earlier this year so there’s no harm in being super ready for whatever the postal requirements may be this year!

My final highlight for this week is a notecard and badge pin set that would be a great pickup whatever the time of year. This ‘Make you smile’ set consists of a ‘Positive Pants’ pin and an A7 notecard stating ‘Put on your POSITIVE PANTS You have got this!!!’. Available from House of Handmade for just £3.75, this keepsake is the perfect size to keep with you for those moments when a reminder that you’ve got things covered can be just what you needed to hear!
