A beautiful garden sign to hang in your garden, to show that you are helping the bees.
This sign was originally developed for ‘no mow may’, where we are all encouraged to let our lawns grow for the month of May to help bees and other insects. If you’re anything like me, May stretches to other months too, but we love our little wild area of the garden, and I think the local wildlife likes it too.
The bees are hand drawn, before being laser engraved onto a piece of 6mm thick birch plywood, approximately 250 x 100mm in size. There are holes for hanging, with some garden twine supplied. The sign itself is given two coats of satin finish outdoor varnish, to ensure it can cope with the great British weather.

Here at Steppy hen creations I make a variety of items for gifts and decorations, often leaning towards the quirky side of life. I hand make everything using my trusty laser cutter and engraver. Some items start life as hand drawn doodles that eventually become brooches, earrings, or wall decorations. Others are designed on my computer either from scratch, or from bought in plans and designs that I’ve then tweaked to make them more unique. Why not browse my shop whilst you’re here, and see what other items I have that may take your fancy.
I’m always happy to discuss personalised and bespoke makes, so please get in touch if you have an idea that you’d like to explore with me. I assure you, there is no pressure to buy.
