The Calico Cat Cuddle blanket is crocheted using the overlay crochet stitch method by Clearly Helena which means no pesky bits/tails of yarn to sew in at the end of every row and no pocket border is required, either. At the end of every row when making the last chain, enlarge it and pull the whole skein through. This secures it and keeps it stable as you go back and work on next row.
Pattern includes written instructions, charts and video tutorial based on Clearly Helena’s CMC (Clean Mosaic Crochet) overlay method. (Tutorial with link to video can be found at the end of this document).
MATERIALS REQUIRED
You will require 2 colours of yarn: Colour A (background colour) and Colour B (Contrasting Colour).
A: Kingcole Bramble DK (Loganberry 4486) : 100g balls x 6 (1950 yards / 1750 meters)
B: Stylecraft Special DK (Black 1002) : 100g balls x 5 (1750 yards / 1500 meters)
You will also need 4.00 mm (G) crochet hook.
SIZE :
Lap Blanket: Length (128cm/50”) Width (138cm/50cm).
