Hand-knitted baby/toddler hat with pom-pom, in colourway mulberry (see other listings for full colour options). The hat is made from a yarn composed of 90% premium acrylic (for durability) and 10% alpaca (for softness and warmth). It is incredibly soft against the skin, perfect even for sensitive skin. The hat is finished off with a faux-fur pom-pom and a faux leather label, sewn on with cotton.

The hat is machine washable at 30 degrees. Make sure to remove the pom-pom before washing. I recommend using a delicate cycle and putting the hat in a delicates bag. Instructions for reattaching the pom-pom can be found as a video by following the link in my shop bio.
Dry the hat flat to retain the shape.

The hat in this listing is available in sizes from 6 months to 24 months (for smaller or larger sizes please see other listings). The hat is designed to be worn with 8-10cm negative ease, which means the hat will be smaller than the actual head measurement to ensure a snug fit. The design and stitch are quite stretchy so will continue to fit as your child grows.

The sizes are split into either small, medium or large (if needed for that particular size), as babies grow so quickly to begin with that the months cover a great range of sizes in centimetres. By ordering the hat with the closest measurement to the head circumference of the recipient, you will ensure the best fit.

Please see below for the measurements in cm for all sizes. Choose the head circumference closest to the measurement you have taken.

6 – 12 months small: head circumference 44cm
6 – 12 months large: head circumference 46cm
12 – 18 months: head circumference 46cm
18 – 24 months: head circumference 48 cm

(Please note, although some of the sizes may have the same head circumference, the height of the hat will differ so use the head circumference and age of your child to order the correct size).

If possible, I advise you to measure the head of the recipient before ordering. My hats are designed to have a little slouch in them, so if you’d prefer a snugger fit, please order a smaller size. If you have taken a measurement and can’t see a size that matches, you can request a custom order – just let me know the colour you’d like and the head circumference of the recipient. I’ll do the rest!
