Once stamped, the letters can be darkened with a non-toxic enamel or the letters can be left clear. The enamel will will wear off with repeated washes but can easily be reapplied with a similar non-toxic enamel pen or marker if you choose. Not suitable for the dishwasher – gentle hand wash only.

Messages/names can be stamped on the prong or the body of the fork (or both). I will usually decide where to put a message depending on the length and what will look best however if you have a specific idea in mind, please message me before ordering.

Only the prettiest cake forks are chosen for stamping and they are cleaned and polished before sending, however they are vintage and preloved so they may show some slight signs of their previous life.

Hand stamping is different to engraving in that each character is individually hand stamped with a hammer, which means each piece may vary slightly in depth or spacing of the letters – but this is what gives them their unique charm!
